My Story!:)

My name is Yolanda Senik and I am a student at NCCI. I was born in Moscow, Russia but moved to Canada a year ago.  I live in the small city London, Ontario which is 2 hours drive from Toronto. I really like London as a place to live. Copmare to Moscow it is a very silent, small and comfortable place for life.

I like to be curious in life, to trevel around the world and discover something new about everything around me and about myself.  I tried  so many things in my life. For example, I did karate, aikido, kung fu, swimming, ballroom dance, classical dance, hip hop dance, gymnastics, drama, drums, skiing, modelling, programming and etc., but I found my self in music. By now  I am a 8 years professional singer.  I love the music and I love the sound, it makes my mood and my life brighter.

I like style. I like to pick various clothing from my closet and combine it together. I like to spend some time on various web pages where you can find out new things and different style that people have.
Style for me is what makes you feel good and comfortable. "There is no fashion I dont care about fashion as long, as something suits you."- by me( I always say that).

I like to read the  books. I do not read the books very often, I just like to pick one when I have a mood. I think when you have a praticilar mood for the book you enjoy the process more. My favourite book is 11 minutes by Paolo Coalho.

I also like to paint. No metter what, just whatever I have in my head, but everytime I try it fails, because I am not quite good in it. It seems like I do not really have talent for it, but I have this desire, so I am not going to stop trying.

I like to make new connections and friends around the world. By now I have friends in Japan, England, Italy, China, South Korea, Canada, USA, Brazil, Colombia, Romania, Serbia, Sotland, Bulgaria, Ukrane and etc. I am very thankfull to my family for giving me this apportunity to trevel around the world, to see other people lifes, and to learn.

My dream is to be an architecture/ interieor designer, to live somewhere in Florida, and to have a big family:)
Also to have my parents and good people around me.

Overall I am a very diversified person. I am curious in life and trying to make my life more interesting and fun by learning and getting to know as many good people. I have a dream and doing everything to make it become true.

I personally like to help people, and to support them if they need. I am very open for contact person and welcome everybody;)

 Censorship

Last week  our Art Media class made a NCCI News video. We filmed it and prepared it for the assembly. So at the day when we were suppost to show  our first News video to the audience our teacher decided to not show it. Later in class he explained that he did not want to show it because there was an asence of cesorship.

"Censorship is the suppression of speech or other public communite which may be considered objectionable, hurmful, sesetive, or inconvenient as determined by a government, media outlet, or other controlling body."-Wikipedia

In our video we had  a  anchor who's male but was playing the role of the female, and also another anhcor that we had was making the Middle East accent. Those are the examples of the asence of censorship.

We as creators tried to make it fun and interesting for an adience, and we put a lot of effort into this project but probaby crossed  a liŃ‚e a little bit.

Personally it  was a good experice for me because I think it is a good chance to work on my communication skills and get to know people better.  Also I learned what things could be shown in the news and what things could not.

So I think that in the future  we as a group will try to make it better and will filter things that we could show to the audience.

Breaking News Interview Experience

On Thursday September 13th me and my co-worker Carmel went to interview people around Down Town area in London,Ontario. We asked many people about what news are in the world and what their sources are.

We found out that not many females are watching the news. This fact was very surprising for me because I was expecting that there would be more females interested in news and things that happen in the world. They explained that they do not watch the news because they do not want to be affected by sad things that happen in the world around them.

However males are more interested in world news and gave us many interesting answers.

When we got back to the class we also were collecting the sources data. By the end of the class we found that most popular source at this days is the internet , some people  don't even use their TV to watch the news. I've been told by people that they find the news on their Twitter, Facebook, websites, and etc.

After collecting the data we had a sort of meeting where we were sharing our stories and experience. I heard many stories where people were being rude to my classmates or were pushing them away.  In my story I did not have anything like this, people were being nice to me and my co-worker and even if they did not have any time they were very polite and friendly.

I could also notice that I had chance to interview people of different ages so, it was good for me to work with different types of people.

I  think that it was a very good experience for me to interview people. I learned how to communicate with unknown to me people in a right way and also how to work in a group. I hope to have more experience in the future and hope it would be that fun as well:)

FREEDOM...

"Sun is shining the weather is sweet..make you want to move.. your dancing feet..."
MUSIC and An Ipod

"Music is an art form of sound and silence..."

Music has a very great influence on the society. Music could have an influence on people's mood, emotions and day lifes.

When I listen to the music it makes me feel something. For example if it is sad song it could make me to remember some memories from the past or if it is fun song it makes me  to move and go towards my goals.

With years people were trying to find something that would make the sound of music nice-sund and vailible for everyone. So it starter with the recorder that was playing with the plates. Later there was invented  the recorder that was working  with audio casset and then in 6 years later with CD.

A while later there was made a music player through which you can listen to music from the CD or  audio cassettes.

At this days the most popular music player is an  Ipod. Ipod has many options. For example it is a  music player, internet, games, books, diary, camera and many other attachments.

IPod was first released at January 2001. First IPod  was usefull only as a music player.  It became very popular on second day of sales. Almost every year Apple come up with the new version of Ipod that has more new things. By years they added to it the internet, games, camera and other attachments.

An Ipod has a very good sound quality (the way of transportation of  the music to the ears).

Through my research that I've shown  you I came up with the idia that Music and Ipod became now the most popular and interesting things for the people. Music and Ipod have a very important relationship. People want to hear a good music in a good quality of sound.
